Greg Berthume is the founder and chief software architect behind Data Fortress and Berthume Software. With more than four decades in professional software development, Greg has designed, built, and shipped production systems spanning accounting, healthcare, construction, legal, food service, hospitality, education, and more.

His track record includes creating a state-of-the-art email system from scratch — not wrapping someone else's library, but engineering the protocols, the interface, and the infrastructure from the ground up.

Greg isn't a manager who used to code. He is an active, hands-on software architect who still writes production code every day. Data Fortress reflects that direct experience: every design decision, every template structure, and every user interaction was shaped by someone who has spent decades solving real business problems with software.
